Wife of the president, Ahisha Buhari seems to be showing dissatisfaction towards husband's governance.
Her words:
Revealing what she thinks is the greatest achievement of
the present government, Buhari’s wife said it was the
improvement of security in the north-east which has
been ravaged by the militant Islamist group, Boko
Haram , since seven years
“No-one is complaining about being attacked in their
own homes. Thankfully everyone can walk around, go to places of worship, etc. Even kids in Maiduguri have returned to school. said the First Lady.
The BBC Hausa Service went on to air more parts of the
interview with Aisha Buhari despite pressures from the
president and members of his inner caucus not to air the
full interview scheduled for Saturday.
The service clearly stated that the only condition for it
not to air the interview was for the interviewee, Aisha
Buhari, to decide against it. Even in that case, it said, her
voice recanting what she had said in the interview would
be aired.
“The president does not know 45 out of 50, for example,
of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either,
despite being his wife of 27 years.”
Some people are sitting down in their homes or farms, only for them to be called to come and take and an agency or a ministerial position”, she said.
Buhari’s Wife Says Nigeria Has Been Hijacked By A Few
People
“You will know them if you watch television.”
“That is left for the people to decide.”
“He is yet to tell me but I have decided as his wife, that if
things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and
campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did
before. I will never do it again.”
