Schooled by the dean- you think you can always get away by telling lies?

Today's story will Crack you up, but I want you to learn a lesson to always be responsible and make wise decisions.

Four college kids stayed out late one night , partying and having a
good time. They paid no mind to the test they were supposed to write
the next day and didn’t study.

In the morning, they hatched a plan to opt  out of taking their test.

They covered themselves with grease and dirt and went to the Dean’s office.

There, they told a story of how they had been to a wedding the previous night and on the way back, they got a flat tire and had to push the car back to campus.

The Dean listened to their tale of woe and reasoned .

He  then offered them a retest three days later. They thanked him and accepted his offer.

When the test day arrived, they went to the Dean. The Dean put
them all in separate rooms for the test.

They were fine with this since they had all studied hard. Then they saw the test. It had 2 questions.

1) Your Name __________ (1 mark)

2) Which tire burst? __________
(a) Front Left (b) Front Right (c) Back Left (d) Back
Right  (99 marks)

Federal government set to begin online registration of unemployed Nigerians come 5th April.

The federal government of Nigeria will begin the registration of unemployed Nigerians on Wednesday, April 5

- The registration is designed to capture the relevant
details of any unemployed person

- It will equally serve as a job exchange portal that will
link job seekers and employers.

The federal government of Nigeria has announced that
registration of unemployed Nigerians will begin on
Wednesday, April 5.

According to NAIJ.com, it was learnt that the announcement was made in Abuja on Monday by the Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE),
Edmund Onwuliri.

Onwuliri said the registration will help the government to
collect up-to-date data of unemployed Nigerians so as to be
able to link job seekers up with existing vacancies in the
government, Vanguard reports.

The registration will make it easy to fix appropriate unemployed
candidates with vacancies in public and private sectors.

He said: “The online portal which goes live on Wednesday
April 5, 2017, is designed to capture the relevant details of any
unemployed person. It will equally serve as a job exchange
portal that will link job seekers and employers.

“There will be a practical demonstration of the workings of the
portal at the NDE stand at the ongoing 28th edition of the
Enugu International Trade (EIT) on Thursday, April 6.”

Onwuliri said the portal address is: www.jobsforall.ng
He said: “The directorate sees this initiative as a bold step
toward deepening the effectiveness of its employment creation
strategies and a critical input into the process of designing,
implementing, monitoring and evaluating programmes and
schemes.”

Onwuliri said the the registration would go a long way to
eliminate the stressful process of recruitment by employers,
as well as employees in both the private and public sectors.

Meanwhile, the World Bank, under its Growth and
Employment (GEM) project, has approved N756.3 million for
disbursement to 81 young Nigerian innovators who
participated in the 2016 Aso Villa Demo Day (AVDD).

The AVDD is one of the economic empowerment initiatives of
the present administration.

A document obtained from the World Bank-funded GEM
project on Monday in Abuja, showed that the money would
be disbursed to the beneficiaries in two tranches after a
grant signing ceremony earlier scheduled for end of March.

Today's lesson :the difference between "Every day" and "Everyday "

Before now, I know many of you don't really know the difference between these words; but I'm  here to let you know the difference...

"Every day "means, every single day -- each and every day.

Example :  If you ate a plate of rice for breakfast each day this week, then we say... you had a plate of rice every day.

                                            WHILE
" Everyday "means commonplace, common thing or something normal.

Example : let's say you were invited to party with friends, and you don't want to look too dressed, so you decide to wear your "everyday shoes" and that means you've chosen to wear the shoes you normally wear.

(mind you, that doesn't mean you have to wear them every single day; it just means wearing them is a common occurrence).

Do you understand?
Any question? *in my classroom voice *

The right place

At a point in life, we need to stop and ask ourselves this question
"I'm I in the right place? "
" What else can I use my hands, legs, talent, etc for? "

Let me use the below story of a camel and her baby as a case study.

A mother and a baby camel were lying around under a tree.
Then the baby camel asked, “Why do camels have humps?”

The mother camel considered this and said, “We are desert
animals so we have the humps to store water so we can survive
with very little water.”

The baby camel thought for a moment then said, “Ok…why are our
legs long and our feet rounded?”

The mama replied, “They are meant for walking in the desert.”
The baby paused. After a beat, the camel asked, “Why are our
eyelashes long? Sometimes they get in my way.”

The mama responded, “Those long thick eyelashes protect your
eyes from the desert sand when it blows in the wind.

The baby thought and thought. Then he said, “I see. So the hump is
to store water when we are in the desert, the legs are for walking
through the desert and these eye lashes protect my eyes from the
desert then why are we in the Zoo?”

The Lesson: Skills and abilities are only useful if you are in the
right place at the right time. Otherwise they go to waste.
So, try to identify the usefulness of what you carry, and make adequate use of it.
